'Last night I woke up again outside the Galerie Schmeler. A German man with a strange face was carrying around a soft object, pointing out images and lowly whispering to it. The accursed shareholder of the accursed share- a recently deceased hare.
I pressed my ear to the glass hoping to take part in this teutonic tour of modern art, but was surprised instead to hear the hare explaining one of the most beautiful experiences of my life to me- recounting it in lurid detail.'
The Story Of The Hare is a dance about this moment. During Geoffrey's Front Studio residency, he has been working across dance, robotics, object design, text and music. With collaborators Mara Galagher and Bob Jarvis, Geoffrey has used the extreme luxury of this time and space to explore the expression of a fantasy over as many disciplines as he can manage.
